If you are reading this then you are curious about the reviews I would write for books and what rating I would give them. All of the reviews I write are for the books I’ve read, past and present. As a mood-reader, I don’t feel able to accept outside review requests, unless it is a book I have read and not already reviewed.
One of the reasons why I started this blog was to review books and if you look back through the archive, you might not find very many. In all honesty, I find them hard to write and structure, especially with the books I like the most because my thoughts are often all over the place.
However, I think I have come up with an outline that will work best for me so you might find quite a few more reviews over the next few weeks and months.
The one thing that will remain constant is my rating scale and that works like this:
1 Star – I really don’t like it and I’ll never read it again.
2 Stars – I don’t like it but there are a couple of okay points
3 Stars – I like it, it’s okay but there is a lot of room for improvement
4 Stars – I really like it
5 Stars – I love it and it is now one of my favourites.
I very rarely rate anything lower than a 3 unless it is something I DNFed (did not finish) or absolutely hate!
