The Most Recent Films I’ve Watched and Loved!

I’m always one to talk about all the books I’ve read and things I’ve crocheted over the months but I rarely talk about film and tv, which is silly as I have a whole category on this blog dedicated to film and tv.

I think as I rarely bother with the huge programmes or take a trip to the cinema for reasons I’ve explained before, it’s not such a huge deal for me. However, I want to break up the pattern a little bit as everything up to now is very book-orientated and it’s nice to have a change.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books – The Cover Is Not The Book

Hello!

Welcome back to this month’s Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books, the series where I match a maximum of three books to a Disney song.

Five Disney Characters Who Inspire Me

Hello!

Welcome back! I’ve not written a Disney post for a while and it’s nice to finally get back into the rhythm of it because I miss it, and Disney is my comfort blanket.

It’s also the place where I find inspiration and motivation and whilst that comes in many forms, a lot of it does come from the characters and their own stories. Therefore, I want to share with you five characters who inspire me everyday.

Halloween – Disney Edition

Hello!

It’s time for the grin grinning ghosts to take a step out of Phantom Manor, join forces with the villains and cause chaos because Halloween is around the corner and there’s nothing better than a Disney Halloween.

Disney Princess 101: Strength

There’s always talk about the traditional Disney princesses and that they’re often not the best role models for the younger generations (girls in particular) because at the end of the story they have a prince and tend to live happily ever after.

I don’t want to truly say what I think about this because I avoid using profanity on my blog. Instead, I’ll go for something along the lines of “get a grip” because there’s so much more to the older, traditional Disney princesses than the desire for a prince and a happy ending.

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books #2 – Belle Reprise

Hello!

Welcome to the second post in my Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books series, recommending books based on Disney songs! Not usually having much luck with series, the first post based on Tangled’s When Will My Life Begin did better than I expected so I can’t wait to see where this goes. However, it does mean I need to step up my reading game!

Anyway…

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Books #1: When Will My Life Begin?

Hello!

After due consideration, all my other series have been consigned to A Dreamer’s Library’s archive for now and I’m starting afresh. I still have ‘Showcase’ running which I’ll do another post for at some point but I wanted something new to work on that combines Disney and books and I think I’ve finally found it.

My Experience With DLP’s Green Card

I know I’m posting this super late but it’s taken me a while to get the right words together to write this in full.

Anyone who has been on Twitter since the Marvel (or not so Marvel) Soirée at Disneyland Paris has probably seen the outcry relating to DLP’s treatment of disabled guests and the usage of the green cards which usually provide disabled guests with certain entitlements, mainly the skipping of queues, and being given return times for character meet and greets. From what I read on Disabled in Disney about this particular soirée, those cards were not honoured for the meet and greets, and it resulted in someone having an epileptic seizure whilst waiting to meet a character because she was forced to wait in a long queue, enhanced by triggering flashing lights.
