WDAS Life Lessons – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Whether you are a fan of Disney or not, you cannot deny that it teaches us a thing or two. It makes us think. It makes us value our choices. It gives us a positivity boost when we are feeling low.

I don’t shy from that. I’m all for the positivity that Disney brings and it is why I turn to Disney when all I want to do is hide from the world.

It’s also given me a new content idea:

…consisting of quotes, characters or songs from each of the feature length animated films.

I’ve kept a few in mind recently going about my life and it’s time they made their way onto the blog too.

Week 1 of WDAS Life Lessons is dedicated to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the song I keep singing to myself in my grandmother’s kitchen when things get a little bit much.

With a smile and a song
Life is just a bright sunny day
Your cares fade away
And your heart is young

With a smile and a song
All the world seems to waken anew
Rejoicing with you
As the song is sung

There’s no use in grumbling
When the raindrops come tumbling
Remember, you’re the one
Who can fill the world with sunshine

When you smile and you sing
Everything is in tune and it’s spring
And life flows along
With a smile and a song.

There’s innocence, positivity and the knowledge that something as simple as a song can give you just a little push to get through the day. It also gives you the belief you can continue when all it wants to do is rain.

A good life lesson I think.

And with that, I will say au revoir to the first WDAS Life Lesson. I’ll be back at some point with Pinocchio, so until then:

Thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
