The week of the Northern YA Lit Fest is here and I’m absolutely stoked. I know it will be a fun day of bookish friends, panels, signings and book buying and I’m so ready for it.
In preparation for the event, I set a TBR a couple of months ago so I could catch up on all the books I hadn’t and needed to read. Off the top of my head, I don’t think I’ve done well sticking to it but when have you ever heard me say that before? Answer, all the time.
Anyway, this TBR was ten books long (although I missed off one book from the initial post) and I read two of them! I’m also over half way through a third book. Considering what the third book is, I’m not too bothered by my slow reading!
The Sin Eater’s Daughter, and State of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury and The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon.
All the unread books:
The Curses by Laure Eve
A Girl Called Shameless by Laura Steven
Ink, and Spark by Alice Broadway
Song of Sorrow by Melinda Salisbury
Only Love Can Break Your Heart by Katherine Webber.
I did start The Curses, A Girl Called Shameless, and Only Love Can Break Your Heart earlier on in the month but as I was also getting my head round Priory, I wasn’t completely interested in them at the time. Maybe I’ll save these for summer when I want those types of books.
I suppose my excuse for not reading Ink and Spark is that I didn’t purchase copies of them.
When it comes the lack of reading, can put all the blame this month on Priory! It’s just too good and demands all the attention!
From the look of things, I think that’s everything.
Yeah, not so much of a great update but what can I say? At least I really enjoyed The State of Sorrow, and The Sin Eater’s Daughter (which I’ve talked about in my February wrap up) and I’m loving Priory. Maybe by the time this is up, I will have actually finished it!
Are any of you going to the NYALitFest at the weekend?
If so did you have a TBR of books to read? Have you read many of them?
As always, thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
