Books I’m Taking To YALC

Here’s me not able to shut up about YALC and my nervous-excitement about going down and experiencing those three days for the very first time.

You could all tell me to shush and I will do eventually, but at the same time, this is a huge deal for me and the one way I get through all of those feelings is by constantly talking and rambling about it.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been reading and watching a lot of ‘tips and tricks’ when it comes to YALC and one of those that comes up time and time again is not taking down every single book of every author attending the event. One, because it will be very heavy transporting the books down and lugging them everywhere, and two, I think it is highly unlikely I’ll get to see and speak to every single author there. I know when I’ve been planning my days, there is a clash or two so something will have to give. It’s just the way it is.

Anyway, I am still taking some books down with me but only those I’ve read and really desperate to have signed.

In Paris With You/Songe à la Douceur by Clémentine Beauvais
The Taste of Blue Light by Lydia Ruffles
Runemarks by Joanne Harris
Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
A Quiet Kind of Thunder by Sara Bernard
Half Wild and Half Lost by Sally Green

There are eight books in total and I think that is a manageable amount. I had about that number when I went to the NYA Lit Fest and I was okay with it, even with the added book buying on the side. Speaking of NYA Lit Fest, I’m really glad I went to the very first one in March because I had quite a lot of YALC books signed there which was fabulous! Yay for my back!

If you are going down to YALC, what books are you taking?

Thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
xx

    1. I have actually taken Children of Blood and Bone out of my pile because I feel that the whole world will be standing in that signing queue and I’m not super hyped about it like everyone else is. It still would be nice but the other books I’m taking have more meaning to me and I’d rather have time to get them signed instead.
