Disney Classics DVDs I’m Missing

Hello.

Over the last year or so, I have slowly been building up my DVD collection to include all of the Disney animated feature films.

So far I have 38 out of 55.

And the majority of the films I’m missing are those from the late 90s/early 2000s aka my childhood years!

What?

I suppose that tells you something about my Disney tastes when I was a child!

So, what are some of the DVDs I’m missing?

And I nearly picked up Pocahontas and Hercules the other day when I was in my local shopping centre. I would have done so, but I couldn’t remember if I had them in my collection or not, and I didn’t want doubles.

Oh well.

Maybe once I have a full collection, I will get the chance to finally watch them every film as well.

  1. You’re so lucky to have so many Disney films on DVD! All mine were on video, but when my player broke I had to throw them out!! 😦 I also love the ones from the 2000s, as those were the ones from the childhood, and so they hold a lot of nostalgia for me.

    1. I had a lot on vhs too but when dvds came in and they released our favourites, my sister and I would ask for them for our birthdays or Christmas. Also some of our videos broke due to over-watching and we replaced them with the dvds. Besides, they had subtitles so they were more accessible! I probably started this collection in my early teens but it’s only within the last few years that I’ve wanted an entire collections.

In terms of the 2000s films, I think my sister and I weren’t that aware of them because we mainly saw the PIXAR films. Plus we were raised on the animated films of my parents’ generation. I have been catching up on the 2000s films though and of those I’ve watched, I do like them!

      1. That’s a great idea! I hate it when well-watched videos break, that’s good that you started early replenishing your collection, or building it up over time. I think I watched a variety of the Disney films in my childhood, and the classics such as Snow White and Cinderella definitely were some of my favourites- I think that whatever generation you are, those Disney films are a staple! 🙂

      2. I agree! Apart from a few others, my sister and I only ever watched Disney films! Pinocchio, Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians and Beauty and the Beast were probably the most watched films though.

      3. Haha, I always loved Disney as well- there was a time when I only watched Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin back to back! I never watched Beauty and the Beast, definitely missed out there! 🙂
