I want to steer away from books in today’s post. I might end up doing this once in while to bring a little bit of personality to the writing and topics, especially when I can’t think of anything bookish to write about, and it just shakes things up a little.
I’ll still ramble but this time it will be on my current obsessions – of which there are a few.
So shall we get into it?
Story of a Heart by Steps
I was a huge Steps fan when I was younger. I never went to any concerts but I always liked the music and had nearly all of the albums. In fact I think one of the first ever albums I had was their Steptacular album.
A couple of years ago when they first announced that they were coming back – as a group – to the music scene, my 7-10 year old self got very giddy and I patiently waited for this brand new album, moresoe because I knew that Benny and Byorn from ABBA had written two songs for it and I liked the last collaboration they did with H and Claire for their album back in the early 2000s. When I heard Story of a Heart on Steps’ new album (Tears on the Dancefloor) it instantly became my favourite track, but I’ve become a little more obsessed with it after I heard it played on the radio a couple of days ago. I didn’t realise it was their second single, and now I can’t stop listening to it. It’s brought me back into the world of happy and clean pop music for a while and I’m really loving it.
Disney Quote Carlton Cards/Notebooks/Canvases
When I was browsing my local card shop a while ago for some birthday cards, I came across a few of these and even though I wasn’t going to send them to people, I knew I had to have them. I also saw some in my local-ish Clintons shop, bought the ones I didn’t have, and then I spotted that they have a Disney range at the moment where these quotes are also on notebooks and canvases. I am in love with these and I’ve been wanting something like this for a while. Now I have 6 of the cards, I’m thinking about framing them and putting them about my room for some motivation and inspiration. I also have a thing for notebooks in general and I’m tempted to get nearly every single one of them – I already have the Tinkerbell one that I’m using for book quotes. I always think that I can never have too many notebooks and even if I don’t use them straight away, they’ll always be pretty to look at.
Beauty and the Beast Tote Bag
Perhaps I should have done this post on my Disney blog as I am on my second Disney obsession but I adore this Beauty and the Beast tote bag. Clintons have brought it out to promote the live action film, along with a few other things, and when I was browsing the above Disney range this bag caught my attention. I really like tote bags, especially when they are bookish and this one just seemed perfect. It’s Beauty and the Beast, this bag is all about the books, and I couldn’t leave it the shop. I
wanted needed it! Now whenever I go shopping I will take this bag, and only use it for books! I love it!
The Body Shop Seaweed Range
For years I’ve been struggling to find the best facial wash for my oily, acne and redness prone skin, and when I was down in London for my birthday, my sister’s friend said that she had been using this seaweed range for a while. I tried some of the toner and overnight the redness on my forehead had reduced significantly. Of course when I got home, I bought some of this range (the toner, overnight gel and gel wash) and I absolutely love it. It is one of the best things I could find and what’s also great is that it is really natural so I don’t have any worries about it irritating my skin and making it dry like the Tea Tree range did. When I go back to the Body Shop I will be picking up the rest of the range because it is so good.
And that is that for now.
What are your current obsessions that are not book related?
Thanks for reading and have a brazzle dazzle day!
