Quotes #1

Yesterday whilst on tumblr I was sent a message by a mutual follower. Attached to this message was a Disney montage video, chronicling lots of motivational and inspirational quotes from many different films. And it struck me because if there is one thing that Disney and Pixar do very well, it’s sending out positive messages to everyone. Many of the messages are at the forefront of the films but others are subtle, and it’s the latter that often strike a chord.

So today I just wanted to share with you some of those quotes that mean something to me and remind me that beauty, hope and faith are in the most unlikely of places.

“The very things that hold you down are going to lift you up.” – Timothy Mouse, Dumbo

“Oh yes the past can hurt. But you can either run from it, or learn from it.” – Rafiki, The Lion King

“You must not let anyone define your limits because of where you come from. Your only limit is your soul.” – Gusteau, Ratatouille

“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all.” – The Emperor, Mulan.

“A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference.” – Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh

“A true hero isn’t measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart.” – Zeus, Hercules

“Just because it’s what’s done, doesn’t mean it’s what should be done.” – Cinderella, Cinderella.

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths. – Walt Disney, Meet the Robinsons.
